The Tree of Life YouTube class

Syllabus

Course Overview:

This class is built upon the visions of Lehi, Nephi, and John the Beloved. Lehi saw a symbolic version of the dream which included a tree to make us happy, a building the represented all the imitation happiness we often fall for, a river the represents the consequences of falling for an imitation happiness, a rod to help stay away from the building and out of the river, and a mist of darkness that blinds our eyes and hardens our heart. Nephi, rather than simply seeing a repeat of the symbolic version, is told 3 stories and asked to find the tree, the building, the river, the rod, and the mist in each story. We will find each element and examine how each applies in our lives today. John will then tell a 4th story.
